The Plymouth colony was arranged by 102 passengers on the Mayflower, which reached land into what is now Massachusetts. These are what we call pilgrims who brought Thanksgiving to our table each and every year.Plymouth was the FIRST American SEPERATIST settlement. It was founded in 1620. Which was some years after the Jamestown settlement had been established. These seperatists came from the Church of England. They came to America for one reason it was freedom of religion.This was so because in England you had to believe the ways of the church, you had to agree( if someone found out that you didn't believe this,they would tell the king and you would be persecuted.)
